DR. TYLER OWENS
Dr. Tyler Owens grew up in St. George, Utah. Upon receiving his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Brigham Young University, he attended the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Dr. Owens participated in multiple mission trips to underserved areas of the world, where he discovered his passion for pediatric dental care. Treating children during these trips led him to complete his residency and training at NYU Lutheran Pediatrics. Dr. Owens is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD).
Dr. Owens and his wife, Kristen, have four children: Ryan, Ryder, Olivia, and Charlotte. When he is not in the office, Dr. Owens loves outdoor activities, learning new things and spending time with his family. Fun Fact: Dr. Owens has NEVER had a cavity!
DR. Alex Olson
Dr. Alex Olson is a Pediatric Dentist at Joplin Children’s Dentistry. He was born and raised in Sandy, Utah. He lived in Paraguay for two years as a missionary and spent four years in Arizona for dental school. Before he moved to Joplin, he lived in Anchorage, Alaska with his family! He studied Biology at the University of Utah for his undergraduate degree. Then he attended Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona where he received his dental degree. He decided to pursue the specialty of Pediatric Dentistry after graduation! His favorite part of being a Dentist is making a child smile! Being a Pediatric Dentist gives him the opportunity to do this every day.
Dr. Olson has a wife named Becky, who he has been married to for almost seven years! They also have a two-year-old son named Henry. They love to spend their time outdoors with their family. While in Alaska, they loved chasing the Northern Lights, looking for wildlife, and hiking! While in the office you will probably hear him sing along to any Disney movie that’s playing!
